Fran and the Regulators
(RMB Asset Management, JLT, Clay Rogers & Partners)
Fran and the Regulators is a band with no history and little future - the plan is for a one-night only gig. Rehearsals are semi-virtual with Mark based in Birmingham, working off garage band tracks and the rest of then working round the logistical issues of kids, CFA exam preparations.
Band Members:
Fran Browne - Vocals
From actor to investment consultant, Fran has given up treading the boards and working her vocal chords in musicals for the rock and roll world of pensions. Fronting up the band, Fran has agreed to abandon all sense of her classical training and rock chick up.
Nick Robert-Nicoud - Guitar
With four broken fingers and two snapped wrists, Nick really is much more 'slowhand' than 'slash' these days. Luckily, a good stomp box goes a long way to fill-in the gaps. Having busked and gigged for years now and on several continents he’s now settled into a highly pleasurable mid-life crisis and is regularly gigging with his band 'Jamestown'.
David Wright - Bass
And ever so grateful that David has agreed to join us for the one night only gig… David is enjoying the same mid-life crisis and plays bass and guitar in 'Jamestown'. He has more guitars, basses, amps and cajons than Denmark Street and can often be found doing his thang in the pubs and clubs of south west London.
Mark Rogers - Percussion
Mark has been a frustrated singer songwriter musician for the last 22 years as well as a being dead ringer for 'James' frontman Tim Booth.
He has finally had the guts to record his new album which is out in March 2010 entitled "a brave new world".
