Pink Torpedo
(F&C Investments)
Formed just two years ago, Pink Torpedo is an amalgam of four closet rockers found lurking in various corners of the office, and whose past musical careers have been eclipsed by their current success. They are very much looking forward to returning to the 100 Club stage. You won’t see these guys on Britain’s Got Talent, which is perhaps the nation’s loss.
Band Members:
Carl Yearwood - Vocals
Plucked from obscurity of a front office job with an international asset manager, and launched into superstardom after not one, but two legendary appearances at the famous 100 Club, Carlos has never lost his sense of perspective and his down to earth manner. Will this be a case of third time’s the charm?
Paul Grice - Guitar
Paul had access to his first guitar at the age of just seven. Unfortunately he did not play with it until 10 years later, and it took a long time to catch up for the lost time. Finally, in his mid-forties, he is ready for the stage; just don’t let him near the microphone.
James Rixon - Drums and Vocals
James had a tough start in life. After being born in a crossfire hurricane he was raised up by a toothless, bearded hag and frequently schooled with a strap right across his back. But it’s alright now, in fact since joining Pink Torpedo it’s been a gas, gas, gas.
Simon Cordery - Bass
Having made the jump from six to four strings, Simon has had to find some new heroes to copy, including Lemmy and Sting. Let’s ignore Mr King from Level 42 shall we? One big surprise has been the number of notey-bits in bass lines – he thought this gig was just plonking away on the fat string and the others were just for show!
